Well, it's been quite the busy week as must be obvious by now from my lack of blog entries. So, here it is, all the life details, in quick, recap fashion.
Ron and I missed each other the first half of this past week, me being in NYC when he was out in PA and vice versa. I spent Tuesday working and the evening playing decorator with Inez - she's selling her apartment and we staged it for the open houses happening later this month. We had a ball, and even got attendance at a social event in (a crazy art/music event benefiting Interlochen) as well as a trip to our Korean Grocery store in Flushing.
Wednesday night was Porno Bingo hosted by Will Clark with guest appearances by Collin O'Neal, Tony Serrano, and my favorite, Ron Morris, was the special music guest. The evening was a fundraiser benefitting the NY Gay Football League and was nothing short of festive!
I came back to PA on Thursday, and we spent Friday preparing for Ron's new music video shoot which took place Saturday. Ken Kleiber directed, Rob Jameson (with Bobo assiting) was the director of photography, Drucilla O'Brien was the shoot documentarian, and I was the art director (and Beauregard and Rider, our faithful felines, played supporting roles). The shoot was incredibly focused, easy, and enjoyed by all. No stress, just lots of productive creative play. Can't wait to see the finished video scheduled to be released sometime in May.
Here are some photos from the music video shoot.
And that, brings us to today, the day before Taxes, which, thankfully, wasn't that bad. The sun was out, the birds were chirping, and we both were super productive. Granted, productivity is good since we're both going out of town again starting tomorrow. Ron's leaving for Raleigh, NC
to perform with a short two day stop in Hillsville, VA to visit Jessica Pillmore and collaborate on a musical their writing. I'm off to Interlochen, MI, where I'm the guest speaker at the Senior Dinner (an event I spoke at ten years back as Student Council President) as well as the Alumni Guest lecturer for the Visual Arts Department. I can't wait. I'm so looking forward to being back on campus and being surrounded by all the creative energy Interlochen students exude. It'll be great to see Tim Wallace and Mrs. Gaede TOO!!!!
That's it for now. We're about to go out and have a business dinner just the two of us and talk about everything that's happened this past week and prep for tomorrow's meeting regarding the potential gallery space. Things are looking very good, but I'm playing it safe with my heart, and won't get super excited until all the details are worked out. Keep wishing us luck!
