A Shopping Trip to the Far Eastside of Flushing

So, Thursday morning started off with me over sleeping. The alarm was still going off when Beauregard woke me up at 9:45am. It had been silently flashing since 6:45am, the buzzer apparently broken. Anyway, adjusted my morning schedule and decided my day in the city would start at 1pm rather than 9am! :) Had a great first day back to work; saw a few clients, visited a few studios, and then went out to Brooklyn to visit Inez and stay at Chris'.

Inez and I decided that we'd go to Flushing, Queens (the real China town) Friday morning to eat eat eat and then visit the big Korean grocery store (that conveniently also has free parking). Had a blast, and since Ron and I have been eating vegan the past four months - with the exception of the trip down Cheese & Meat Lane I took while in Texas - decided to stock up on every imaginable type of tofu, seaweed, sauces, mushrooms, potstickers, and rice. I bought a ton of food for hardly any money and have decided that the monthly shopping trip needs to be in Flushing and not Whole Foods!!

After Flushing, Inez and I went to the Pulse art fair (which was more of the usual same shown by the same faces I usually see), and then I hijacked her and took her out to Pennsylvania for a spontaneous weekend of just us. I can't even think of the last time she and I just hung out, and it's been a super great treat. We're watching Roger Rabit right now on the little TV/VHS up on the 3rd Floor heading to bed soon.
