Outta the nest, and sitting pretty

When I was watering the garden this morning, I noticed I was not alone. It seems that one of the babies Momma Mourning Dove had (yes, there were two in that nest and I have the pics to prove it..somewhere) wanted to stop by for a visit today. The other of Momma's offspring, didn't fare so well - I found his body beneath the hydrangea last week, and there he now rests.
Anyway, life goes on...beautifully.

The Garden is In...almost

Today was GLORIOUS! The weather was perfect, the sun was out! So, since it was also our day off, I spent the day planting the Morris-Jones 2009 garden. It's not much to look at now, but just wait a month. It's amazing how quickly it turns into a jungle.

Hand Picked

The art for the "Hand Picked" Lehigh Valley Collegiate Art Invitational was delivered today. Ron and I were so excited, we couldn't resist the urge to go ahead and unwrap and install everything! There are 60 students who were selected by the art department faculties from 6 different universities and colleges in the area. There's some really great work.

We're having and opening this Saturday from 4-7pm which is sure to be a blast!

An afternoon at the Loom

Monday was our first "DAY OFF" in nearly a month, and I spent the majority of the day playing with my new loom. I'm weaving a bag for myself using some merino wool I hand-dyed and strips of green linen.

Sunday Afternoon Walk

Today was GLORIOUS. Warm, sunny, SPRING! Jess, Chris, Laura and I went on a lovely walk around Easton in the afternoon and ended up at the parklike Easton Cemetary.

Sitting pretty

Momma Mourning Dove has been sitting on her egg for 9 days now. In about another week, we should have a new little one we can call a neighbor. Can't wait.

The weeks been crazy full, but the new exhibit is up and LOOKS AMAZING!!! Really! I'm thrilled with how it turned out. I'll be taking photographs this afternoon and will upload them ASAP.
